I sure have been enjoying this slightly cooler weather in Dallas - unfortunately, it won't last.  But the Son is shining and that always makes me feel alive and hopeful!

My kitchen is in total chaos right now - we're installing a new double oven and gas cooktop.  I hate chaos...especially in my kitchen.  I think I'm driving Bob crazy going around behind him picking up and throwing away.   Hopefully by the weekend it will all be done and my order restored! lol

Our women's ministry is starting a Bible Study this Thursday called The Frazzled Woman ... apparently there are more like me who feel a little crazy lately! lol  All in all, I know that I just need to breath deeply and stand still and let God move.  He does it so much better without my help, anyway!

What a wonderful day in the Lord we had yesterday!  The service was awesome from start to finish!  And God knew I needed refreshing and encouraging.  Last week was a very trying time, but once again God's mercies proved to be there each and every day - just sufficient for that day.  If I look to tomorrow, I get worried about the outcome of several issues I'm praying about for people I love. But God is reminding me that He loves them more, and I can't fix their problems.  All I can do is love them and pray for them!  Easy to say...not so easy for me to do.  I'm a fixer!  I need to do something...and right now I'm having to just stand still and let God move.

What a Night!

We got a call last night and had to take our sis-in-law (who is here from the Phillipines and speaks little English) to the hospital.  My husband's bro is out of town on business, she is 9 wks (or so) pregnant and was bleeding and cramping.  Not good!  We drove an hour to get here and after waiting at the hospital with her for 7 hrs, and playing interpreter, we learned that she has not miscarried...yet, but the sonogram shows a definite embryotic sac but doesn't clearly show a developed fetus.  They won't rule out that there is one...but if there is its not developing like it should or, best case scenario, she isn't as far along as they originally thought.  Please pray for Arlene, David and this little baby and for God's divine will in their lives!

So then I rush home to grab a couple of hrs of sleep before heading off to work only to receive a call that a couple very very dear to me are splitting up!  My heart is sooo heavy for them this morning.  Please be in prayer!  I know that God can and will fix this...but I also know that these two people have to want it fixed.

Edited to add:  Just got the call...Arlene has miscarried!

Two days in a row....don't get too excited! lol  I stayed up way too late last night watching the NBA Playoffs...I can't believe before two weeks ago I'd never watched an entire basketball game in my life, and now I'm staying up way past my bedtime to watch them!  So sad that our Mavs didn't win though....so close.

We're singing at a revival tonight so it will be another late night for me, and tomorrow night I'm keeping my 3 yr old granddaughter overnight so I should be good and worn out by the weekend!

We haven't been in church for the last 2 weekends while we were on vacatino and I'm so anxious to get back and fellowship!  It's interesting how weary we become in well doing, but when we're out of that element for a short time we get the itch to get back into the trenches.

Okay I dropped the ball!  I'm terrible at keeping up with these things, but I have missed chatting with some of you.  I'll try my best to do better....life just got in the way!
